Very happy today, happened to talk to some frequent customers about Chinese knots and they praised me for making very nice Chinese knots… Actually, the one that they’ve seen wasn’t really that good ‘coz the cord used was not the right type…Actually, any type of cord can be used to make Chinese knots except for the elastic ones ‘coz the most basic concept in making Chinese knots is to balance the tightness of the knot all around… But when elastic cords were used, its very hard to balance the tightness all around…
In the picture attached above, the knot on the left is made from elastic cord and the one on the right is from the usual Chinese knot cord… You can actually see from the picture that the tightness of the knot on the right is actually more balance and thus looks better than the one on the right…
